Call Center Basics
A typical call center is a service center, which has adequate telecom facilities, trained consultants, access to wide database, internet and other on-line information support infrastructure to provide information and support to a customer. It operates to provide round the clock and year round service i.e. 365 days and 24 hours service.
There are two types of call center
- Inbound Call Center
- Outbound Call Center
Inbound Call Center
Call center services that support calls received from a customer. Inbound call center calls typically inbound customer support and help desk calls.
Outbound Call Center
Call center services that consist of calls made by a company representative out to customers. Outbound call center calls are primarily telemarketing calls.
